Your Donations Support

Education

Help us protect natural Florida
The 10-acre “Old Florida” Gore Nature Education Center is a living laboratory where environmental education, creative exploration and nature-inspired experiences happen. Donations directed to the Education Center support our:
  • Community programs on conservation and environmental stewardship
  • Nature-inspired activities for all age groups at low or no cost
  • Maintenance of trails and buildings
  • Development and printing of educational materials and trail maps
  • Research projects for students to gain a better understanding of the South Florida ecosystems and their endangered flora and fauna

Conservation

Help us protect natural Florida
Critical habitats for endangered species in Southwest Florida are succumbing to urban sprawl. The endangered Florida panthers’ corridor in rural Collier County has been diminished with recent approvals for residential villages in this area.
Vacant properties adjacent to the Gore Nature Education Center and Conservation Collier’s Dr. Robert H. Gore III Preserve are available for purchase. Protecting this land helps to expand the natural corridors required by the Florida panther and other large animals. Your contribution will allow us to acquire and conserve vulnerable property in key areas, ensuring Florida’s treasured resources will be available for generations to come.

Preservation

Help us protect natural Florida
Cypress Cove Landkeepers strives to preserve, protect and restore Southwest Florida’s native plant species at the Gore Nature Education Center. This will be accomplished through a multi-pronged approach that includes installing pollinator gardens, reintroducing native plant species to the property, documenting and protecting endangered species presently on the property and restoring the habitat.
Your donations enable us to:
  • Remove invasive species
  • Purchase native plants
  • Maintain the gardens
  • Install hydration systems to support pollinators
  • Support research projects
